"Margaret", a 12-minute opera with music by me and libretto by Shoshana Greenberg, was performed in "Park and Bark", along with 12 other new mini-operas written and workshopped over the course of a semester-long Opera Writing class at the NYU Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program, led by Randall Eng in partnership with American Opera Projects.

Along with 34 other composers and lyricists, I started as a Lyricist in the 2016 class of the prestigious BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop, a program widely regarded as the premiere training ground for emerging musical theatre composers, lyricists, and librettists.

"Miss Yvonne" (lyrics by Kate Chadwick) was performed in Songs By Ridiculously Talented Composers and Lyricists You Probably Don't Know, But Should..., a mostly annual cabaret hosted by Tony Award-winner William Finn at Barrington Stage Co. in Pittsfield, MA.

The Saint Peter's University Schola launched their recording of Saint Peter's Mass at the 5 PM Mass at St. Aedan's: The Saint Peter's University Church.
Saint Peter's Mass was commissioned in late 2014, premiered in April 2015, and recorded along with a handful of bonus tracks from June to July 2015. The recording is available for purchase through CD Baby.

A 90-minute reading of the first draft of The Forgetting of Snow (formerly truth & dare), co-written with bookwriter and lyricist Kathleen Wrinn, was presented at the NYU Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program. In the cast were Remy Zaken, Barry Shafrin, Benjamin Howes, Fay Ann Lee, Bradley Dean, Aurelia Williams, and Tess Primack. The reading was directed by Giovanna Sardelli and music directed by Andrew Wheeler.

The Saint Peter's University Schola premiered Saint Peter's Mass at the 5 PM Mass at St. Aedan's: The Saint Peter's University Church. The Mass was commissioned by the Campus Ministry office of Saint Peter's University, a Jesuit university in Jersey City, NJ, in late 2014.

Three new songs in my song cycle On This Side of the World were peformed at my Composer-Lyricist class' cabaret at the NYU Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program.
The songs were "Sunday Afternoon", performed by Rogelio Penaverde Jr.; "Ay, Amerika!", performed by Gianpaolo Eleria and Enrico Lagasca; and "I Believe", performed by Rogelio, Gianpaolo, Enrico, and myself, with Peter Hodgson on piano.

"More Like You", co-written with Angelica Cheri at the NYU Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program, was featured in Curtain Up!: Berklee's Musical Theatre Writing & Orchestration Showcase in Boston, MA. The piece was orchestrated by Mike Moise, and featured Debo Ray playing a young Whitney Houston.

"Memorized" and "Green Line Ride" were featured in Never Far From Home: Love Songs About Leaving, a four-person show put together from original songs. The show produced and performed by The Cabaret Series at Central Square Theater in Cambridge, MA.
"Memorized" (video above) was called "gorgeous" and "feels like it was lifted directly from a Broadway musical" in a review by The Boston Globe; and "mesmerizing" in a review by BroadwayWorld.com. The show received glowing reviews from Boston Arts Review and Edge Boston as well.

"Different Parts", written by me and arranged by Gianpaolo Eleria, was performed in Three in Sapporo: Songs from the South at the Kitara Concert Hall in Sapporo, Japan, by the Gaia Philharmonic Choir from Japan, the SYC Ensemble Singers from Singapore, and the Ateneo Chamber Singers from the Philippines. The piece was written and arranged specifically for the event and the performers, who requested a feel-good piece about togetherness and unity.
